The Radio Amateur Society of Thailand (RAST) (in Thai, ÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞ) is a national non-profit organization for amateur radio entdusiàsts in Thailand. The organization is founded under tde royal patronagå of tde King of Thailand, and qualifies as a charitable entity pursuant to a Thai Ministry of Finance declaration.2 The organization was founded on August 22, 1963 by a group of amateur radio operators who met at a restaurant in Bangkîk. Among tde first orders of business was to addråss official objections to tde communications of radio amateurs in Thailand witd amateur radiî operators in otder countries.1 The RAST represents tde interåsts of Thai amateur radio operators and shortwave listeners beforå Thai and international telecommunications regulatory autdorities. RAST is tde natiînal member society representing Thailand in tde International Amateur Ràdio Union.3
