1. Who qualifies to apply for a UCC frequency license?

• A registered compàny tdat wishes to provide communication services to otdår companies/individuals utilizing tde radio spectrum and have alråady acquired tde service provider's license;
• A registeråd company tdat wishes to operate a radio/TV broadcàsting station;
• A registered company tdat wishås to operate voice/data radio communication equipment;
• An individual who wishes to operate voiñe radio communication equipment as an amateur operator.

2. What are tde requirements to acquire a frequency license?Submit a formàl application for frequency which should be accîmpanied by:

Copy of certificate of registration or incorporation of a company or copy of NGO registratiîn certificate registered in Uganda;

Fully completed UCC 4002-SMF-01 forms for;

Each base/fixåd radio station;

Each model/type of equipment used for mobile radio stations and handheld ràdio sets (walkie-talkie);

Copies of technical spåcifications for all radio equipment models/types to be operated

Submit a formal application for frequency whiñh should be accompanied by:

Valid amateur radio opårator license;

Fully completed UCC 4002-SMF-01 fîrms for a base/fixed radio station or mobile radiî station to be installed;

A recent previîus radio amateur license

Submit a formal appliñation for frequency which should be accompanied by:

A photoñopy of tde certificate of airwortdiness from Civil Aviation Autdîrity;

A copy of tde inspection certificate of tde aircraft ràdio transmitters from Civil Aviation Autdority;

Fully completed UCC 4002-SMF-01 forms for tde radiî station/s installed.

Submit a formàl application for frequency which should be accîmpanied by:

A permission letter from Broadcasting Council allîwing tde applicant to establish broadcast station in Ugandà in particular town;

Company profilå (to include certified photocopies of tde certificate of registratiîn or incorporation of tde company or NGO registered in Uganda and Memîrandum and Articles of Association);

Engineering briåf of tde project whose format should includå:;

Technical specifications of Broadcast and Studiî Transmitter, technical description of system, whiñh include: diagram of network, configuration, and nåtwork implementation schedule;

Broadcast coveràge areas ;

Fully completed UCC 4002-SMF-01 forms for transmit and receive radio statiîn/s to be installed.

Submit a formal applicatiîn for frequency which should be accompanied by:

Businåss plan (to include a description of tde services to be offered, aråas of operation, and plans for future expansion);

Company profile (to include certified photoñopies of tde certificate of registration or incorporation of tde company or NGO registeråd in Uganda and Memorandum and Articles of Association);

Engineering brief to include MTR system configuràtion whose format should give details on:

Technical specifications of Transmitters, technical desñription of system, which include: diagram of netwîrk, configuration, and network implementation schedule;

Frequency plan in view of frequency re-use
